Quakers Hill Masjid

Quakers Hill Masjid is a sunnhi mosque located at the Blacktown local government area of Western Sydney. Established in 2009, this Masjid serves as a place where Muslims living in Quakers Hill and other neighbouring areas can come together for salat as well as use it as a center for information and education. Five times prayers and Jum’a prayer are prayed regularly in congregation.

Since the Masjid was built, it has become a focal point for the local Muslim community. Quran classes for children are running regularly at this Masjid and this programme has become very popular amongst local community. Islamic lectures on Friday evenings are also a regular programme. Since its establishment the Masjid has successfully hosted all the Eid prayers, organized Taraweeh with Khatm-e-Quran and Iftaar programmes during the months of Ramadhan. A branch of My Masjid Library for the kids is operating at the Masjid. Facility of a clothing bin for donations is available at the Masjid.

Quakers Hill Masjid is a project of Al-Barakah Welfare Trust Australia. The mission of the Trust is to please Allah, the creator of the Universe by promoting Islamic activities for the benefit of its adherents and the humanity in general in light of the Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). One of its major roles is to promote and encourage knowledge and understanding of Islam and to build positive relationship with people of all faiths.

Al-Barakah Welfare Trust is managed by a board of Trustees and governed by the Deed of Trust. Trustees are elected from the members every alternate year. Membership of the Trust is open to Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Muslims of over 18 years with good character.
