QHM Library Membership Policy

The purpose of this policy is to outline the requirements, privileges, and responsibilities of members of the Quakers Hill Masjid Library.

1. Membership Eligibility:

  • Membership is open to all regular musallees of Quakers Hill Masjid and residents of surrounding suburbs.

  • Minors (under 18 years) must have a parent or guardian submit the membership application.

2. Membership Types:

  • Members of Al-Barakah Welfare Trust: All members of ABWT will automatically become members of QHM library sharing the same membership number.

  • Individual Membership: Available for individuals aged 8 years and over.

  • Family Membership: Includes members of a household residing at the same address.

3. Application Process:

  • Membership fee must be paid to following bank account:

  • Prospective members must complete a membership application form. https://forms.gle/o7r3PFevRD56FVhZA

  • Upon submitting the membership fee and application form, the applicant will be requested to present a valid form of identification.

  • After verification a Membership Number will be issued.

4. Membership Fees:

  • Members of Al-Barakah Welfare Trust: QHM Library Membership fee is included in the ABWT membership fee.

  • Individual Membership Fee: AUD 40/year.

  • Family Membership Fee: AUD 90/year up to 4 family members.

    (all membership fees will be used to acquire more titles for the library)

5. Borrowing Policies and Member Responsibilities:

  • Members may borrow up to 2 items at a time.

  • Late fees may apply for overdue items.

  • Books can be borrowed and returned on following times:

    Brothers - Friday between Maghrib and Isha

    Sisters – Sunday between 10am and 12pm

  • Members must mention membership number when borrowing books.

  • Members are responsible for the care and return of all borrowed items.

  • Lost or damaged items must be reported immediately, and members will be required to pay for replacement costs.

  • Members are expected to follow library rules and regulations.

  • Disruptive behaviour may result in revocation of membership privileges.

7. Termination of Membership:

  • Membership may be revoked for violation of library policies or failure to return borrowed materials.

  • Members may voluntarily terminate their membership at any time without any refund of membership fee.

Quakers Hill Masjid

Quakers Hill Masjid is located in the City of Blacktown in Western Sydney. Established in 2009, this Masjid is serving as a place where Muslims living in Quakers Hill and neighbouring suburbs can come together for prayers and use it as a centre for education.
